Yuliya often came to the realization that all the things she was good at were things that you had to do by yourself. She was good at songwriting and banjo and working with animals and this, rollerskating. It didn't seem like the type of thing Yuliya would like to do, but Amri had gotten her rollerskates when she was nine and she had adored it since. Something about the smooth, fluid motion calmed her down and soothed her. Of course, she was only good at it as long as she wasn't distracted. The second someone said anything to her she would begin stumbling and tripping over her own wheels. But she was in her own world for now.
Part of the gym was an outdoor blacktop which was where she now, seeing as she always preferred to be outside. Her hair was in two long pigtails that swayed with her speedy figure-eight movements. Apollo was sitting nearby and every once in awhile he would get up and trot by her, but for now, he was keeping a close watch on everything, being the guard dog that he was. This was good for now. Yuliya would keep skating for awhile and then she would go visit the stable and when she came back she would see Amri and then she'd write for awhile and then she would read for awhile. She had her whole day planned out and it gave her an odd sense of security.
