Evening was falling and most classes slid to a close as Merlyn strode into the largest rehearsal room. They had been rehearsing for a few weeks now and he was quite pleased that he hadn't had to go over speaking in verse and the purpose of iambic pentameter only seventeen times. Dropping his bag on the table, he took his seat in the center chair and began to pull out his various schedules, scripts and other paperwork.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something move close to the roof of the room and he whipped around, scanning the ceiling, but there was nothing out of place. Huh, must just be the building playing tricks on him again, which it had been doing since he got there. He never wondered much about it. He would stop in the moment, confused, but ultimately, he would shrug and move on.
Tonight he needed his full concentration for what was probably the most chaotic scene in the play: the forest scene, which involved almost every character in the play at once and had many references to lesbian sex between Hermia and Helena and he couldn't wait to get it on the stage...or on the carpet...

Eevee Sighed as she walked into yet another rehearsal, not bothering today so she was in sweat pants and a tank top, her hair back in a braid. Why bother? She was a freshmen so she only got small parts but still, she was lucky to even be in the play so she came to ever rehearsal, to prove she was determined, which she was. She found it funny that her first play in college was this play, since her middle name was Hermia. Funny Irony. She shook her head as she walked into the room, seeing Mr.Kendrick was already here.
"Hi." She said simply as she took her normal place in the middle seats, were she could get away with playing on her phone while other people practiced. Her most practice was having to learn to play the flute, which would be interesting but she was sure it couldn't be to hard since she knew how to play piano. "Am i early?" she asked, even if she knew the answer, she was always early for everything she did. Work, School, classes, rehearsals. It was better than being late.

It was annoying to have to go to rehearsals, mostly since Cassander and Blair were always there. How anyone else could stand them was beyond him, and he wished that he and everyone else could have rehearsals separate from them, and he was sure other people would jump onto the idea. It wasn't like he was the weird guy of the school for disliking them and nor was it jealousy either. He hated their guts and so did most people who'd had the displeasure of making their acquaintance. He could only hope that they wouldn't show up.
But there was a good thing about rehearsals, and that was the fact that there were girls to flirt with there. Amri had made a point of making out with every girl in every play he'd been in, and there were always newbies in these plays, and of course there would be the few awkward upperclassmen girls who would look at him, clear their throat, and look away, pretending to not be thinking about that one magical time. It was a fun project of his and he was planning on continuing it with fresh meat this play.
Only two people were there when he got there. One of the teacher people whom Amri wasn't particularly fond of but didn't quite have a reason to dislike either, and an awkward-looking freshman girl. Whatever. He strutted in, not saying a word, not really needing to, not really wanting to. He didn't really want to do that, mostly because he had the most ear-splitting hangover ever and every noise and movement made his head spin. In the end, he thought, the cons out-weighed the pros when it came to coming to rehearsal, but he'd come anyway, so he quickly sat down on a chair.

Merlyn nodded politely with a smile as two of his actors walked in. The shy girl, whose name he honestly couldn't remember and the Amri kid he had cast as Demetrius. Merlyn didn't consider him to be a terribly talented actor, but he had just seemed like such a perfect fit for Demetrius and he couldn't resist. And he was cute. Now if he could only get him to understand iambic pentameter...
"Good evening Amri and...Genevieve." He said, saving himself at the last minute as he remembered her name. "How are you guys doing on your lines?"

Why did he have to talk? There were only two of them there, no need to get all close and buddy-like. God he hated teachers, always trying to become his friend, always trying to understand his "situation." That was the good thing about college though, at least here his parents hadn't gone ahead and contacted every teacher about how Amri had a troubled childhood because he'd spent all his time with a troubled girl. At least, if they did, he didn't know about it. They always thought when he was having a bad day that it was because of that, and even worse, they thought talking to him about it would make it better.
"Oh my god can you talk quieter?" while clutching his head. There was a sharp pain in the center of his head that was surrounded by a dull pain around the rest of it. It was like someone had shoved a tack in his head and it was lodged in there. He looked at the floor to limit his exposure to light. He figured he should get some peace until a few more people arrived. There was no need to talk to the teacher until then and no need to be involved.

"Oh my God, can you talk quieter?"
That was all the information Cassander needed, as he entered the room as the words, at the twice the volume they needed to be, spilled out of his month.
"Ahh, good afternoon everyone, professor!" He announced, accidentally-on-purpose knocking over a chair that clanged noisily to the ground in his wake. "Whoops!" He bent and retrieved it and set it back in his previous position, carefully not looking at Amri, but keeping his hulk-ish form in his peripheral. He felt fairly safe with a teacher present, even though he thought he would probably stand a better chance in a fist fight with Amri than Professor Kendrick would...and he already know how those went.
"I'm off-book!" He announced, effectively stuffing his script into his back pocket.

It felt like everyone was dropping their spare change onto his head. His body screamed at him, and his liver was especially displeased with him, but as Amri saw it, at least he was giving it something to do. It wasn't his fault he was an alcoholic, it wasn't his fault the AA meetings Joey had signed him up for had made him drink more than ever and that they pissed him off. His liver and his head had no right to complain. So fuck them all, his body deserved better comrades, ones who could take a hit.
Cassander. God how he hated that coward. Of course he was acting all obnoxious now that there was a teacher around. As if that made him safe. As if Amri had respect for authority figures. The only teacher-like person he'd ever respected was the dean of detention at his high school, and that was because they were friends and he'd lent him his id to get beer. He didn't care what this teacher did, especially since Amri had revenge to serve on that sniveling excuse for a human. "Stay the fuck away from me," he growled. Don't kill him...not while there's witnesses...you can't end up in prison or no one will look after Yuliya...

Sebastian barely had time to blink as several things happened very fast. Cassander was knocking this over left and right and talking at top volume, although the latter really wasn't a rareity, Amri was telling the Scottish demigod in no uncertain terms, to leave him alone and everyone else was just standing around rather awkwardly. Clearing his throat wasn't enough to regain control, as he had discovered last time, so raising his hands and his voice, he called out over the small group.
"Guys! Guys! Calm down! Cassander, watch where you going next time and Amri, there's no need for language like that during rehearsal. Now, we need to go over the group forest scene tonight, so if I could just get everyone to...Amri, you'll enter from stage right, Cassander, you're going to be up- centerstage and slightly to the left, Hermia...where's my Hermia?"
