HISTORY:
Amri's parents were both from Ukraine, and immigrated when Chiye was pregnant with Amri. Because of his father's brothers connections he had made while traveling the world, he was able to secure Vivek a good job as the editor of the New Yorker and the family was well off.

Three years after they moved, his younger sister was born. Because of her problems, there wasn't much attention paid to him, but he never grew bitter because he loved his younger sister and was sad when she was sent away when he was fifteen. Also, because of this, his parents never really noticed that he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

He started high school and was really quite popular because of his ability at basketball and his general "bad assery." He had a group of friends who were always with him, and he was the leader. He led them into experimenting with drugs and alcohol, the former of which Amri does for recreation, the latter of which has developed into a serious problem for him.

Midway through his freshman year, he met a recent immigrant Ecuador named Malika. He connected with her, because although he had never immigrated, he knew the troubles of having an accent and speaking another language at home. It also didn't hurt that she was drop-dead gorgeous. Obviously they went out for all of high school, and although she didn't approve of his delinquent ways, she kept with him.

The day after they graduated (Him barely making it, her the valedictorian), she told him that she was going to move to Portland, Oregon, and go to med school. He was delighted with her decision and agreed she would make a brilliant doctor. He started making plans for their long-distance relationship until she told him he wouldn't need to.

Things started going worse for him. His parents enrolled him here to try and get his mind off things, but he still became involved in some gang violence and the like, and has never really gotten over it. But it's not like he cares, right?


PERSONALITY:
Amri is definitely doubled-sided. On one hand, he enjoys the life of being one of the rich kids, of being good looking, and of being physically fit and strong. He likes to live just for the fun of it, since he is a hardcore atheist and you never know when life's going to end, so you should just enjoy it while it lasts.

But he's insecure. Sure he'll flirt with girls, but relationships? What if he gets hurt? Not a chance. He's strong because he's scared of what would happen if he wasn't, and hopefully no one will find out that he's on the dumber side of dumb. He loves his family, and is loyal to those who are loyal to him. And really, he's never felt like he's really fit in, because he's simply not from here.

STRENGTHS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

1.) Strength - Amri is one for brawn over brain, and is really good at sports and things like that. So why was he sent to an art school, you might ask? Good question.
2.) He's a pretty good actor, but its mostly his looks that get him leading roles.
3.) Great kisser - You know that song "Toxic"? Sources have yet to confirm it, but people are 99% sure it was written about Amri. Some have even started the rumor he coats his lips with heroin or cocaine.


FLAWS:
Arrogant/Egotistical/Self-Centered: Amri thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread to put it so bluntly. After all, he's absolutely amazing and people should bow down at his feet, right?

Overly Confident: He thinks absolutely nothing can touch him, who would even dare?

Directionally Challenged: Dude, this guy can't get anywhere without getting lost. He doesn't even know that the sun sets in the west and rises in the east.

Stupid: Amri is not the brightest kid around. Don't tell anyone but most of the grades that got him into the school weren't exactly earned by him.

Alcoholic: Amri relies on a constant supply of liquor to keep his life together. And he never just has a couple of drinks, he gets completely dead drunk every time. He can't really control himself or his actions when he's drunk, and he gets really terrible headaches the day after.

Unforgiving: One warning and that's it. If you betray his trust he won't listen to your explanations, you've lost him as a friend forever.

Insecure: Though he always tries to hide it, he never thinks he's good enough which is why he always tries to get stronger. He is simply never satisfied with life and is never really happy.

Bottles Up Emotions: Amri hides all his feelings that he thinks make him seem weak, like sadness. It makes him one angry thunderstorm inside.

Stomach Migraines: For a long time, Amri has suffered from a thing called "stomach migraines" which are chronic, intense stomachaches that he gets when he's stressed or angry and sometimes out of the blue.

Possessive: Things that are his are HIS, even some things that aren't his are HIS. He will stop at nothing to get back what is HIS, even if it sometimes might not be worth it.

Dyslexic: Although Amri is just plain stupid, he is also extremely dyslexic and reading and writing are both really challenging for him.


CLOTHING: He likes clothes in blues and white, simply because those colors suit him. When it comes to the clothing itself, it's usually slacks, a t-shirt, and a button-down that's usually un-buttoned.

Both of his parents were recent immigrants to new York, so at home, he doesn't speak English. His mother is Chiye Dukhkin' and her father is Vivek Dukhkin'. Amri hates both his parents because he hates the way they've dealt with Yuliya and he is constantly at odds with them. His uncle is Voda, who he admires greatly, and his grandmother is Zyma, who he has only met a few times. Then, of course, there is Yuliya, who he cherishes greatly.
