Okay, I don't want to make a bazillion more rules that spoil people's fun and ruin people's lives, but this needs to be done, so we avoid a huge mess (or a series of huge messes) in the future.
Ghosts are of people who have DIED in the past. This means that, should you play a ghost character, you will be writing a history that included what happened when character was alive and then how they DIED, because in order to be a ghost, they must have already DIED. Also, please make sure your ghost had some significant connection with the arts in life.
Once DEAD (as all ghost characters here are), they have a few powers:
- flight
- teleportion
- invisibility
- transformation (including into a traditional transparent ghostly form)
- general creepy-spookiness
- they're DEAD
Ghosts look like normal people do, except they don't eat or sleep and they are DEAD. But unless they choose to reveal their true nature, they can pass for humans. But remember, they're DEAD.
To avoid huge messiness, ghosts may NOT be real people (living or deceased) and they may NOT be characters from movies, books, etc. Rare exception is if permission is sort through the Admin (that means me!) is for characters from ancient Greek, Shakespeare's plays or any play from antiquity (and these may NOT have been real people). And once again, these characters, being ghosts, must be DEAD.
Ghosts are encouraged to "adopt" one or more students and guide them, give them extra lessons, look out for them and form a friendship with them, whether as an actual ghost or as an invisible, "guardian angel-type" influence. If they're evil, then they're more than welcome to haunt people and ruin people's lives.
Here is a completely useless list of things ghosts may NOT be:
- aliens
- animals
- real people
- book or movie characters
- your mom
- Justin Beiber
- pieces of lint in your pocket
- vampires, werewolves or the Supernatural brothers
- my eyebrows (seriously, people, they're MY eyebrows)
- ALIVE!
