Hello, I'm Peregrine, but everyone calls my Pip or "Oh Look, It's THAT'S Guy". I am your fearless leader. I am a human being, not a computer or a heartless bitch (aka the really mean dance captain who constantly tells you you're fat). Anyway, my aim is not to clamp down on your fun, breathe down your neck and otherwise ruin your life. These rules are merely in place to provide some sense of common understanding, continuity and sanity (but not too much of the latter). So without further ado, Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Lend Me Your Ears!

~ RESPECT AND TOLERANCE ~

The environments in which art is created is generally of the liberal-minded personalities. I'm not talking about whether or not you're in love with Obama, but realize that this site has the mindset of the liberal and accepting. This means that such things as: rascism, sexism, homophobia, ageism or other -isms. That being said, Proboards does not allow those under thirteen to join.

This site does not discriminate against anyone, regardless of age, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical state or stage of pregnancy (unless you're a man, in which case...CONGRATULATIONS DUDE!).

~ NO GODMODDING/POWERPLAYING/MARY-SUES ~

Really, it's just not cool. I know you guys are all talented, so there's no need to be lazy. Seriously though, offenders will be notified, warned and if it gets really bad (but I doubt it will), banned to the land of audition lines at American Idol!

~ NO PLAGIARISM ~

Okay, so I know that all great artists are going to be stealing ("inspiration!") on some level, but please, you know the difference from right and wrong. You'll know when you're plagiarizing. And even when you're paraphrasing, you should request permission from the original author and then give credit where credit is due.

~ ACCOUNTS AND CHARACTERS ~

One account-per-character. No exceptions, the end. Your display name should be the first and last name of your character, which the first letter of each name capitalized. If you want to include their middle name, that's up to you, but don't do anything else. Stay active. It would be nice if you could post as least once a week (or daily), but I understand that real life happens and that comes first, so do what you can. If you're leaving on vacation, studying for events, get grounded from the Land of Le Internet or get abducted by a pack of flying monkeys and taken to a witch's castle because your shoes are red and sparkly and magical and hers aren't, please leave a note of absence (and maybe next time, get shoes that don't sparkle). You may have as many characters as you want, but each must have their own account and you must keep them all active. Please keep the gender balance about equal.

~ IMAGES ~

Please get yourself a decent signature and avatar icon for each of your accounts. They must depict your character. It would be nice if you don't look like total crap. Also, you must pick a NAMED play-by for your character and they MUST be a REAL PERSON. And they should look the age of the character, etc, etc, I know you're talented enough to figure it out.

~ LITERACY ~

You're here, reading these mostly sarcastic, snarky rules, thinking of joining this role playing website and WRITING things, right? Therefore, it is safe to assume that you are a WRITER and therefore:

LANGUAGE IS A SACRED THING, SO RESPECT IT, DAMN IT!

Everyone makes typo's or occasionally forgets how to write/talk properly, but please, use proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Please avoid one-liners and don't respect your posting partner if they leave you a novel of a post and you leave them 100 words. I don't really care whether you use posting formats, decorate your posts with pictures or quotes, or whether you write in first or third person. I leave this up to you. I'd prefer you NOT post in font size impossible-to-read, but again, if that's your style, you go for it.

~ RATING ~

This site is officially rated PG-13. Because of Proboards law. The guidelines for exactly what constitutes PG-13 are hazy, however, so keep it tasteful, so we don't get deleted, okay. Really, it sucks to get deleted and then having to go through redoing everything.
